An England training agency dossier that the desk review could not clear
Read a desk-only England agency training dossier review with verified identity, exact evidence opened, unresolved gates and a bounded HOLD verdict.
What to take away
- VerdictHOLD for procurement. This dossier is a prequalification desk note, not a usable agency review.
- Evidence opened on 6 September 2026the training page, Prohibition's agency website and the Companies House record for Prohibition PR Ltd, company 07998559.
- Service identity reached partial evidence. Learning, accessibility, privacy and commercial terms stay on hold.
- No named trainer, published price, course version or learner outcome appeared in the reviewed pages.
- Socialskillslab.co.uk received no payment, access, discount or referral for this work.
What the desk review opened and what it proves
The London page describes private social-media training delivered at a buyer's office. The agency website describes a Leeds PR and communications business. Companies House records Prohibition PR Ltd, company 07998559 as active with a Leeds registered office.
Those pages establish public claims and one legal entity. They do not show that your contract would sit with that entity, that a named trainer presents your version, or that a learner outcome occurred.
The five gates, scored
The desk review scored the dossier against five gates.
Five review gates
- Exact service identity
- Curriculum and learning evidence
- Accessible delivery
- Data and security
- Commercial terms
| Gate | Status | What would clear it |
|---|---|---|
| Service and identity | Partial | Current proposal, statement of work, counterparty confirmation |
| Learning and assessment | Hold | Agenda, prerequisites, rubric, sample feedback record, trainer selection basis |
| Accessibility and equality | Hold | Named reviewer, venue check, remote alternative, adjusted assessment route |
| Privacy and security | Hold | Data map, access controls, retention period, incident route, deletion evidence |
| Claims and contract | Hold | Price basis, taxes, rights, liability, exit wording |
Our note on reviewing courses on a reproducible evidence grid explains why a missing document cannot be scored as a pass.
Accessibility, data and claims
GOV.UK guidance on reasonable adjustments for disabled workers covers trainees and apprentices. Ask how a London session would be adjusted and whether the assessment route is available remotely.
A session may use learner names, recordings, analytics or live client briefs. Request a data map, access controls, a retention period and a deletion route first.
Ratings, testimonials and client logos were read as supplier claims, not independent evidence. The CMA's online consumer reviews record explains why a review page can mislead a buyer.
Price, trainer and commercial terms
No per-learner price, day rate, minimum cohort or VAT basis is published. A quote is the only route to a comparable figure. Ask for it split by trainer day, preparation, materials, travel and expenses, with VAT shown separately.
Ask also for the named trainer, the selection basis and substitution rights. Terms should cover cancellation, learner cap, recording rights and intellectual property in materials. Our guide to social media training contracts works through these clauses in order.
Example comparison: two criteria you can check at source
Two questions travel well between England providers, and both can be asked before a proposal. Is a named trainer published? Is a price, or a free route, published?
Reviewed offer, 6 September 2026
- Named trainer on a public page
- Not found in the reviewed evidence
- Price or free route published
- Quote only, no rate or VAT basis found
- Assessment artefact published
- Not found in the reviewed evidence
CIM, M Training, HubSpot Academy
- Named trainer on a public page
- Confirm on the provider's own course page
- Price or free route published
- Confirm the current fee or free access at source
- Assessment artefact published
- Confirm exam or assignment wording at source
Ask each shortlisted provider for those two items in writing. A published trainer name and a published price let you compare on facts rather than presentation. If a provider will not confirm either, record that as a finding.
Neither item depends on a testimonial, a client logo or a claimed number of years in the field. Where a provider publishes neither, request a sample agenda, a named signatory and a version date instead.
A wider comparison of CIM, M Training and HubSpot Academy courses applies the same test without a ranking.
Before you commit
- Obtain a matching proposal and contract naming the counterparty.
- Request the named trainer, course version and delivery format in writing.
- Ask for the agenda, prerequisites, rubric and a sample feedback record.
- Confirm the adjustment, venue, remote alternative and assessment route.
- Require a data map, access controls, retention and deletion evidence.
- Observe one synthetic exercise under a written protocol before signing.
Common questions
Who delivers the training, and under which legal entity?
Public pages named no trainer. Companies House shows an active Leeds entity, but nothing reviewed ties your contract to it. Ask for the trading name, company number and signatory on the quote.
What does the training cost, and on what terms?
No rate, day price or VAT basis was published, so no cost figure can be given. Request a quote split by trainer day, preparation, materials, travel and expenses, plus cancellation and substitution terms.
What would move the verdict from HOLD?
A matching proposal and contract, a named trainer and version record, an accessible sample, assessment artefacts, privacy responses, and one observed synthetic exercise under a written protocol. If those pass their independent gates, the verdict can change.
Should a buyer book this provider now?
Not on this dossier alone. Treat it as a prequalification note that lists the questions to ask next. Booking, or ranking it against other England providers, needs the written records above.
